Encaustic and Clay

Encaustic is the art of painting with wax. It is a very difficult medium to master (and I have not mastered it by a long shot) but it is magical when something comes of the effort.
Clay is a wonderful medium to work with. It reminds me of being a kid with playdough or mud puddles. It is just a fun way to spend my time. Many of my works blow up in the kiln, so it's a lesson in non-attachment, too.
